Entries are display most recent first.

Please note - due to a recent "hacking" incident -
entries between August 2008 and December 2011 were lost.
Unfortunately- every effort to recover the lost entries was unsuccessful
as even the backup files were corrupted beyond repair. Fortunately an off-site
backup of the earlier entries was available and is here. We regret this loss.

I served on the Bush from Sept. 1955 untill about Feb. 1957. I came to the Bush from bootcamp, Company 318 Bainbridge, Md. I was a Storekeeper 3rd class working in the torpedo spares, sub spares and the electronics stores. My best buddies on the ship were Terril Flanagan, Marvin Davis, Chet Wilson from W. Va. all storekeepers. Charles (Chuck) (Red) Wily from the foundry and John Mankovich a barber. All of these except for Terril and I were on the ship untill about 1959. Terril and I got a tranfer to the air station in Memphis. I worked at the commisary store untll dischage and Terril worked on the base in supply. On one of the trips to Norfolk Chief Brown in sub spares took my car for me with the condition that he be able to borrow it a few times while there. Those were realy great times. If anyone knows the location of Chet Wilson I would like to know. All the others and a few others not mentioned here I know there whereabouts. Anyone else out there feel free to e-mail. I'm retired and have time.
