Entries are display most recent first.

Please note - due to a recent "hacking" incident -
entries between August 2008 and December 2011 were lost.
Unfortunately- every effort to recover the lost entries was unsuccessful
as even the backup files were corrupted beyond repair. Fortunately an off-site
backup of the earlier entries was available and is here. We regret this loss.

Some time before, I needed to buy a building for my business but I did not have enough money and could not order something. Thank heaven my fellow suggested to take the credit loans from banks. Therefore, I did so and used to be satisfied with my bank loan.

I served on board the Cable from 1985 to 1989 in the Operations Department as and RM1 and then and RMC. Had some of the best times during my tour. Glad to see that she will still be serving even if in a different capacity.

Comments:

Recently a "flaw" in a Photo Gallery web application (Zen Photo) was exploited by "persons unknown with a Russian address" to hack every PHP file on our server. While Zen Photo isn't used on Tender Tale - it was used on other site we host. Fortunately - other than the time lost to "clean up" - the damage was minimal - with one exception - and that was the data file (and backups) for this logbook. We had an off-site backup prior to August 7 2008 - and that has been restored - but obviously - entries between then and now are lost. It's sad when thing are callously destroyed by criminals bent on plying their "trade" - but it's a fact of life. We regret this loss... and hope those effected will re-post their entries. Name:

Tina Richard

Tender:

USS Hunley (AS-31)

Comments:

I was on the Hunley from 88-90 and I had a blast. It was great working in deck department for a short time then I switched over to being a quartermaster. I hated working with numbers in school but being a quartermaster was a blast and it was nice working closely with the captain and exo. I met some great folks on board and if any one would like to get a hold of me please e-mail me and I will get back to you!!!

Comments:

Good times on both tenders, a lot of fine work was accomplished with some dedicated young folks. A shame such ships as these are no longer utilized.
